big feelings
Big feelings start small. Let’s help little ones understand them.

Your child may be little, but their feelings can be very big.
At 5 and 6 years old, children are beginning to make sense of their emotions, friendships, independence and the world around them. They may know that something feels wrong, but not yet have the words to explain whether they are disappointed, worried, frustrated or overwhelmed.

Little Me, Big Feelings is our Social Emotional Learning programme specially designed
for children aged 5–6 years old.
Through stories, movement, creative play, roleplay and hands-on activities, children learn to recognise their feelings, understand what is happening in their bodies, express what they need and begin developing healthy ways to manage their emotions.

Because before children can manage their feelings, they first need to understand them
Helping Little Feelings Make Sense
Little Me, Big Feelings isn't about expecting young children to control every emotion.
It's about helping them understand themselves a little better. Throughout the programme, children are given developmentally appropriate opportunities to explore questions such as:

-
What am I feeling?
-
Where do I feel it in my body?
-
Why might I be feeling this way?
-
How big is this feeling?
-
What can I do when a feeling feels too big?
-
How can I tell someone what I need?

Over time, these little moments of awareness help build the foundations for emotional literacy, self-regulation, confidence and healthy relationships.

“I love how playful the programme is. My son talks about the stories, games and activities without even realising how much he is learning. I’ve noticed that he is becoming more aware of his feelings and is starting to tell us what he needs when something is bothering him.”
Teacher Liyana
“What stood out to me was how easily the children could bring the learning back into the classroom. We started hearing them use words from the programme to describe their feelings and notice how their bodies were feeling. It gave us a shared language that we could continue reinforcing even after the session ended.”
Mdm Janice
“It didn't teach my child to stop having big emotions. Instead, my daughter learnt that her feelings are okay and that there are different ways to express them. She now sometimes tells me, ‘Mummy, I need to calm my body first.’ That was lovely to hear.”

Course Breakdown
01
Me & My Feelings
“What am I feeling?”
Children are introduced to basic emotions and begin learning how feelings can show up through our faces, bodies and everyday experiences. Through storytelling, movement, puppets and creative activities, children build the vocabulary to recognise and talk about their feelings.

Help your child find the words for what’s happening inside.
03
Mood Monsters
“Some feelings are little. Some feelings are BIG!”
Children explore how the same emotion can come in different sizes and intensities. Through playful activities and visual metaphors, they begin learning to notice when a feeling is growing.

Help your child recognise big feelings before they become overwhelming.
05
All About Me
“This is me!”
Children explore their interests, preferences, strengths and the things that make them uniquely themselves.

Nurture a strong and positive sense of self from an early age.
07
Calm Like a Cloud
“I can help my body feel calmer.”
Children discover simple calming strategies through breathing, mindfulness, sensory awareness and movement that they can practise when emotions begin to feel big.

Give your child simple tools to find their way back to calm.
09
My Happy Place
“What helps me feel safe and comfortable?”
Through imagination, sensory exploration and guided activities, children explore the people, places and experiences that help them feel safe, connected and settled.

Help your child discover what makes their world feel safe.
02
Where Do I Feel It?
“My body gives me clues.”
Feelings don't only happen in our minds.
Our bodies often notice them too. Children explore simple body clues such as butterflies in the tummy, tense hands, a fast heartbeat or relaxed shoulders.

Help your child learn to listen to the messages their body sends them.
04
Colour My Mood
“What would my feeling look like?”
Through colour, art and creative expression, children explore different ways of representing their emotions—especially feelings that may still be difficult to put into words.

Give your child another language for expressing what they feel.
06
I Am Special
“There are things I like about me.”
Through affirming and playful activities, children practise recognising their strengths and celebrating what they can do, while learning that everyone has different qualities.

Plant the early seeds of healthy self-esteem and confidence.
08
My Brave Voice
“I can tell you what I need.”
Children practise using words to communicate feelings, needs and boundaries respectfully. They learn that their voice matters—and that asking for help is okay.

Help your child build confidence to speak up and express themselves.
10
I Can Do It!
“Look how much I've grown!”
Our final session brings the journey together. Children reflect on what they have learnt, celebrate their progress and recognise the emotional tools they can continue using.

Celebrate the little steps that are building a more confident little person.
